Capitol Hill Classic
returns on Sunday, May 17, 2026!

Join runners from across the region for Washington, DC’s largest and oldest 10K. Trek across historic Capitol Hill, passing the U.S. Capitol, the Supreme Court, the Library of Congress, the Folger Shakespeare Library, Lincoln Park, East Capitol Street, and RFK Stadium. We also will have our regular 3K and kids’ fun run that will follow the 10K.

The Classic and the Capitol Hill Cluster School

The funds raised through the Capitol Hill Classic go toward the Capitol Hill Cluster School, a DC Public School, and help bridge the gap between the DC Public Schools budget and the money needed to fund field trips, buy art supplies, support classroom projects, provide professional development for our teachers, and fund the gardens and teachers’ requests.

The Capitol Hill Cluster School is a unique DC public school on three campuses—Peabody Primary School, Watkins Elementary School, and Stuart-Hobson Middle School.
