Course Information (See Map Below)
Both the 10K and the 3K start and finish in front of the Peabody School, which is located right on Stanton Park at 5th and C Streets NE, in Washington, D.C. The school is three blocks from Union Station. The kids' fun run goes around Stanton Park.

The race is the ONLY race run entirely though historic Capitol Hill. The course takes you along Massachusetts Avenue, around Lincoln Park, down East Capitol Street to RFK Stadium, then back up East Capitol (with a slight jig to Pennsylvania Avenue) to and around the U.S. Capitol.

The 10K is a fast, USATF-certified course that features ChronoTrack Timing, Mile Splits and water stations.

  ChronoTrack Timing
The ChronoTrack timing system will be used to score the race. All runners desiring a scored time in the race will be required to use the ChronoTrack D-Tag. The system uses a computer chip tied to the runners' shoe laces that records the exact time each runner crosses the start and finish lines.    Start Times
The 10K will start at 8:30 a.m., while the 3K will start at approximately 10:30 a.m. The kids' fun run will begin at 11:00 a.m.



  Packet Pick-up
Packet pick-up and registration will be at the Peabody School, 5th and C Streets, NE, in Washington, DC. Pick-up hours are Friday, May 14 from 5 - 7 p.m. and Saturday, May 15 from 9 a.m. - 2 p.m. Race Day packet pick-up and late registration on Sunday, May 16 will be from 7 - 7:45 a.m. for the 10K and from 8:15 - 9 a.m. for the 3K.



  Prizes and Amenities
Cash prizes are awarded to the top three 10K finishers in the men's and women's categories. Random prizes will be awarded to the top age group finishers in the 10K and 3K. You must be present to receive your award.

Bag check and food will be available.



  Parking/Metro
Off-street parking will be available on a first-come, first-served basis. Limited on-street parking is also available near the start. Runners may also take the Red Line Metro to Union Station or the Orange/Blue line to Eastern Market. Metro opens at 7 a.m. on Sundays. The 10K race will start promptly at 8:30 a.m.


Please note:
Strollers, baby joggers, skates and pets are not allowed on the race course. Headphones connected to personal listening devices not capable of receiving communication are allowed; however, those competing in Championships for awards, medals, or prize money may not use such devices.
