33rd Annual Capitol Hill Classic Race Committee

33rd Annual Capitol Hill Classic 10K
Sunday, May 20th, 2012

The Capitol Hill Classic 10K race is the major annual fundraiser for the Capitol Hill Cluster School, a D.C. public school.  The event also includes a 3K race and a kid fun run.  Approximately 3,500 people are expected to participate in this event. Roughly 2,800 in the 10K and 700 in the 3K and fun run.  This fundraising event for the Capitol Hill Cluster School helps bridge the gap between the DCPS budget and the money needed to buy art supplies, fund field trips, classroom projects, professional development for our teachers, the gardens and teacher requests.

The Capitol Hill Cluster School is a unique D.C. public school on three campuses serving more than 1000 DC children from age 3 through 8th grade with a variety of strong educational programs. This year with an ongoing focus on physical education, we are training many of our older students to be able to run the 3K.
